The Rainoil Story

In 1994, Gabriel Ogbechie founded and incorporated Rainoil Limited. In 1997, the company started its business operations in the downstream oil and gas/energy sector. Later that same year, the company established its pioneer retail outlet. Two years later, a second petrol station followed. Rainoil has been establishing several petrol stations/retail outlets ever since.

Rainoil expanded its business operations by erecting three storage depots with a capacity of 50 million liters each. One was established in the Calabar Free Trade Zone in Cross River State, while the second one was erected in Oghara, Delta State, both in the South-South region of Nigeria. The third one is in Ijegun, Lagos. Rainoil also established a multi-product storage plant in Lagos. This facility houses an 8,000-metric tonne storage tank for Liquefied Petroleum Gas as well as storage tanks for petrol, aviation fuel, and motor oils.

This company further expanded its business portfolio by venturing into logistics and distribution.
