It's well known for its data collection, technological advantages via AI, and market dominance in the Nigerian digital space. Globally, Google favorably competes with the most powerful companies (Meta, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon) in the world.

The Google Story

Google was established on September 4, 1998, by Sergey Brin and Larry Page during their time as post-graduate students at Stanford Varsity in California.
 
In 2004, Google became a publicly listed company, and a year after, it was restructured as a full subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. Google is the biggest subsidiary of Alphabet and the holding firm for the internet interests and properties of Alphabets.
 
Both co-founders own roughly 14% of Google's publicly listed shares and control approximately four times that in stockholder voting power thanks to their super-voting stock. In October 2015, Sundar Pichai replaced Larry Page as the CEO of Google.
 
Google has grown exponentially to become arguably the most diversified business in the world. It offers a vast range of services and products, each of these products or services are dominant in its market niche and have wide applications. There's Google Maps, Earth, Translate, Chrome, Drive, Pixel, Meet, YouTube, Cloud, Workspace, and many more.
 
Today, Google is ranked among the most valuable companies in the world. In 2017, Google officially began operations in Nigeria, and it's only a matter of time before it begins expanding there.
